Amnesty International fails to name the Muslim Brotherhood as directly responsible for attacks against Christians

Amnesty International has failed to name the Muslim Brotherhood as directly responsible for attacks against Christians, ignoring the evidence on the ground and internet that clearly shows the Muslim Brotherhood inciting and instigating the ethnic cleansing of Copts from districts of Egypt.  Instead Amnesty International ridiculously blames the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood for not doing enough to prevent and stop the attacks against Christians.

Amnesty International states:

‘Amnesty International Middle East and North Africa Deputy Director Hassiba Hadja Sahraoui said:

“In the current political stand-off, both the Egyptian authorities and the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood have shamefully failed to prevent and stop attacks on Coptic Christians.

“Condemning the violence is not enough. The tragic attacks were no surprise given the inflammatory and sectarian language used by some Morsi supporters, scapegoating Christians for the crackdown they suffered.

“It is a shocking dereliction of duty that the security forces failed to prevent these sectarian attacks and protect Coptic Christians.

“Attacks against Coptic Christians must be investigated and those responsible brought to justice.”

Protect the Pope comment: As long as the international community continues the pretense that the Muslim Brotherhood seek to promote democracy and freedom of religion in Egypt instead of recognising that they are a terrorist organisation involved in Jihad and ethnic cleansing, the plight of Egypt’s Christian community will continue to deteriorate.
