News from the Jews:

Israeli hasbara campaign and extreme racism,

more high level Jewish criminality, & ridiculous fear-driven propaganda

Two news items appearing in the Jewish press this week highlight the extent to which the state of Israel specifically, and international Jewry generally, engage in coordinated, systematic propaganda campaigns to influence public opinion and generate positive public relations for the Jewish state occupying Palestine. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of Jewish organizations in America with direct connections to Israel strictly dedicated to advancing Israel’s public image, covering up or downplaying her crimes, attacking, slandering, and silencing her critics, and otherwise propagandizing the world into accepting a totally distorted and oftentimes false understanding of the nature and history of the Jewish state of Israel and the nefarious intrigues of international Jewry. Making matters worse, individuals of Jewish extraction – or non-Jewish individuals who have deep connections to and sympathies with the Jewish state and her international network of agents – often occupy key positions of power in the American political, financial, and media establishment, bringing with them their own pro-Israel, pro-Jewish worldview and biases.

Is it any wonder so many Americans are deluded into thinking Israel is our “greatest ally” and “best friend” in the Middle East, despite the fact Israel has attacked this nation on multiple occasions and committed other outrageous crimes? Should it surprise us that millions of Americans literally believe Israel can do no wrong, and that anyone even mildly criticizing or exposing her crimes and genocidal agenda are simply “anti-Semitic” bigots? Many people I know equate even talking openly about Jewish influence and power, and the absolute dominance the pro-Israel Jewish lobby has on American politics, media, Hollywood, academia and other important sectors of American civic and cultural life, as somehow wrong or illegitimate – it’s “hateful”, “racist”, or “anti-Semitic”, they say.

This is how degraded our public discourse has become as a result of the organized propaganda campaign carried on by Israel and her international agents of influence operating at the highest levels in the Western world. And we’re not even taking into consideration the insidious distortions of history organized Jewry has been behind at least since the run-up to WWII…

Let’s take a look at the articles in question. The first one comes from the Israeli daily Haaretz, and reports that the office of the Prime Minister is currently recruiting Israeli university students to engage in “online hasbara battles.” Here is the headline and a brief excerpt:

The Prime Minister’s Office is planning to form, in collaboration with the National Union of Israeli Students, “covert units” within Israel’s seven universities that will engage in online public diplomacy (hasbara).

The students participating in the project, who would post on social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter on Israel’s behalf, will be part of the public diplomacy arm of the PMO, but would not identify themselves as official government representatives.

About a week ago, the outgoing deputy-director general of the Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs Ministry, Daniel Seaman, sent a document to the government tender committee seeking to exempt the national student union from being chosen as the partner in the project through a public bidding process.

The PMO is looking to invest close to NIS 3 million to recruit, organize and fund the activities of hundreds of university students, as part of the country’s public diplomacy effort. […]

Sources in the Prime Minister’s Office said the main subjects that the campus-based units will deal with are diplomatic- and security-related issues, efforts to combat the boycott of Israel and anti-Semitism and the delegitimization of Israel. The students will emphasize Israel’s democratic values, freedom of religion, pluralism and “other subjects that give expression to the Israeli government’s public diplomacy policy.”

The second article, published in The Jewish Daily Forward, describes a new $300 million pro-Israel public relations campaign developed by the Jewish Agency in conjunction with the office of the Prime Minister in Israel. Again, here is the headline and a brief excerpt:

A Jewish Agency for Israel plan currently in development would combine donor dollars from the United States with Israeli government funds to create what is likely the most expensive pro-Israel campaign ever.

If brought to fruition, the initiative would eventually spend $300 million a year on pro-Israel efforts in the United States and other parts of the Diaspora.

That’s more than three times the annual budget of Taglit-Birthright Israel, more than three times the annual expenditures of all Hillel chapters put together and more than 150 times the annual budget of the Israel Action Network, the much vaunted Jewish communal group founded in 2010 to promote Israel’s image on college campuses.

Yet far greater uncertainty surrounds the plan than previously reported. Despite being dubbed The Prime Minister’s Initiative by the Jewish Agency, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declined to back the plan in a statement to the Forward. […]

… the plan would take a portion of the contributions made by American Jews to Jewish federations and send the funds to an as-yet-to-be-determined entity, the identity of which is the subject of meetings being convened by the Jewish Agency. Those funds would be combined with government funds and sent back to the Diaspora for pro-Israel programming.

The program would dwarf earlier pro-Israel efforts like the Israel Action Network, created by major Jewish institutions based in the United States with a $6 million commitment over three years.

There are a couple obvious points to make about these stories. The first is the astronomical sum of money Israel and the international organized Jewish community are willing to spend on public relations. The second is the scale and coordination of these latest propaganda campaigns – what other group of people on planet earth has dedicated the resources and manpower to engaging in such a campaign? What would the organized Jewish community say if any other nation, say the Germans, or the Japanese, were to announce such a massive, coordinated, and well-funded public relations campaign? Why does the Jewish state of Israel, and organized Jewry generally, need to engage in such extensive and well-coordinated public relations? Is it perhaps because its activities and policies are largely unethical, illegitimate, and oftentimes criminal?

Speaking of criminality, yet another high level figure in the organized Jewish community is under investigation for financial corruption, and has been fired from his position as CEO of Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty. Tablet Magazine reports:

William Rapfogel, widely reputed as one of the chief Jewish power brokers in New York, has been fired from his position as executive director and CEO of the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty, where he had worked for 21 years. With an annual budget of $27 million, the Met Council is one of the New York Jewish community’s largest social service groups. Rapfogel’s discharge coincides with the revelation that he is under criminal investigation for financial misconduct by the state’s attorney general Eric Schneiderman and comptroller Thomas DiNapoli. […]

The Jewish Telegraph Agency also reported on this case:

When the story first broke on Monday about N.Y. anti-poverty and political bigwig William Rapfogel being fired from his longtime post as head of the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty, the exact nature of the allegations were unclear.

So it was possible to think that this was a Robin Hood-type case of someone doing bad for the greater good.

But the latest stories in the New York Daily News and New York Post suggest that Rapfogel was pocketing money at the expense of Met Council — and, by extension, the low-income residents of New York that he was supposed to be serving.

Earlier this week, The End of Zion brought to my attention the 1937 German publication The Jew as Criminal, which includes an introduction by Julius Streicher. Streicher explained that “The Jew is fundamentally and basically criminal,” and he is exactly right – at least generally speaking. “Jews act in concord only when a common danger threatens them or a common prey attracts them,” Adolf Hitler explained in Mein Kampf. “Where these two motives no longer exist, then the most brutal egoism appears and these people, who had previously lived together in unity will turn into a swarm of rats that fight bitterly against each other.” And that’s precisely what we see with this case.

Last week, I highlighted the outrageous hypocrisy coming from the organized Jewish community when it comes to racial and identity politics – it’s perfectly acceptable for Jews to be proud of who they are, work for their own unique political, economic, and social interests, and otherwise champion their history, culture, and people, but it’s unacceptable for Whites to do so. This week, The Jewish Daily Forward once again highlighted some major double standards regarding race in the organized Jewish community:

The Anti-Defamation League and the rest of the American Jewish establishment owe Jesse Jackson a big apology. They put the man through the wringer, they made him apologize in every possible forum for his “Hymie” and “Hymietown” remarks back in 1984. Yet look at the kinds of things Israeli leaders — senior government ministers, chief rabbis — get away with without ever having to apologize, without ever being punished in the slightest.

Just last week, Naftali Bennett, the fresh new face of right-wing Orthodox Judaism, said in a cabinet meeting how he didn’t like these releases of Palestinian prisoners. “If you catch terrorists, you simply have to kill them,” he was quoted in Yedioth Ahronoth as saying. The head of the National Security Council, Yaakov Amidror, told Bennett, “Listen, that’s not legal.” Bennett replied: “I have killed lots of Arabs in my life – and there is no problem with that.”

The media, the left and the Arabs made a big deal out of it, nobody else. Bennett defended what he said, and so did countless talkbackers and Facebookers. […]

So really — what was so bad about “Hymies” and “Hymietown”? Or the thousand other anti-Semitic or even just possibly anti-Semitic remarks that the ADL and other American Jewish organizations have “pounced on” since then? Israeli public figures say the same kind of garbage, the difference is that they never, ever pay a price for it, in fact they usually manage to play the victim and get away with it, and at worst will be obliged to offer some backhanded apology.

Likud lawmaker Miri Regev is doing fine after having called Sudanese refugees “a cancer on our body” to a crowd of hopped-up south Tel Avivians in May of last year, shortly before the crowd went on a window-smashing mini-pogrom against the Africans in the neighborhood. […]

Nor was there any blowback whatsoever after Bibi Netanyahu bragged in 2007 that the cuts he’d made to child subsidies had brought a “positive” result, which he identified as “the demographic effect on the non-Jewish public, where there was a dramatic drop in the birth rate.”

Imagine the scandal if an American political leader boasted publicly that his cuts to child subsidies had reduced the “non-Christian” birth rate. Imagine the ADL’s reaction. But in Israel, in 2007, from the mouth of a once-and-future prime minister — nothing. […]

I’ve lived roughly half my 61 years in the United States, the other half in Israel. There is absolutely no comparison between American tolerance for public displays of racism and Israeli tolerance for it.

I’ve stood in the middle of Israeli crowds chanting “Death to the Arabs.” I’ve sat in a Tel Aviv soccer stadium watching and listening to an entire section of fans erupt in monkey sounds – “Hoo, hoo, hoo!! Hoo, hoo, hoo!! – after a black player on the visiting team scored a goal.

A few liberals and a few do-gooders and a few journalists wring their hands. But the racists in the street, the synagogues, the Knesset and the government go on doing their thing.

Does this mean all Israelis, or even most of them, are racists? No. Does it mean Israeli society, by commission and omission, encourages racism? Oh, yes. To a degree that would be unthinkable in the United States.

And the leaders of the U.S. Jewish establishment, Israel’s most valued, devoted, determined friends, keep pouncing on every untoward or conceivably untoward remark about Jews or the Jewish state. Yes, the ADL will send out a press release about its “concern” over the “inappropriate” remarks made by some relatively minor Israeli figure.

But it never hits hard at the major figures. It said nothing last week about Bennett or Lau. The ADL goes after anti-Semitism with a fist, it goes after Israeli racism with a sigh.

As a matter of fact, the ADL and the entire American Jewish establishment should suspend their campaigns against anti-Semitism indefinitely and take a look at what’s going on in Israel.

When the Jewish state is this riddled with racism, its advocates abroad should be a little less outraged over the offenses of gentiles. They should be a little more humble — and a lot less hypocritical.

To conclude, I had to highlight and briefly comment on this ridiculous article published in The Jewish Daily Forward. Just look at the headline:

This is typical fear-based programming directed against the organized Jewish community – and it’s a regular feature of the Jewish press. The Jewish press, on a daily basis, reminds Jews of “the resurgence of anti-Semitism”, rehashes the fake Jewish “Holocaust” narrative, and otherwise seeks to induce fear into the Jewish community by constantly exaggerating and manufacturing “threats” to Israel and the Jewish people. A second “Holocaust” is always right around the corner.

These sorts of trauma-inducing, fear-based programming techniques are specifically applied to the organized Jewish community to keep them in a state of fear and to instill and perpetuate the myth of Jewish victimhood and historical persecution. These propaganda techniques are quite effective, and often have disastrous consequences for our world.
